My name is Sam Harvey and I'm responsible for one half of the enigma that is Hi-Gloss. Growing up with an instinctive appreciation of film, music, people and the real things in life, Hi-gloss is the result of some wonderful life experience that I would like to share with the world. After gaining a degree in Performing Arts and studying film for a time, I gained valuable experience in the events industry and then waited in vain for that art deco phone to ring... I decided enough was enough, I'd take my fate into my own hands and thus Hi-Gloss was born! I am proud to say that we operate as an incredibly open minded production company, taking in to consideration any project on any scale (with a few exceptions of course!). In short I want to to make films that the people of this city can be proud of. London is a glittering treasure chest of diversity and talent that I wish to throw open and explore through the medium of film. The british film industry has been laying dormant for long enough and with our first feature currently being planned, we plan on driving full steam ahead..."buckle your seatbelts, it's going to be a long night"!

I am a joint Managing Director and Executive Producer at Hi-gloss Productions. But before leaving the leafy welsh border and moving to London I had trained in the Performing Arts, toured around the world with my voice, and taken roles in theatre, short films and features. In 1999 I headed towards the bright lights of the city to continue my study of acting and film. London swept me off my feet and I have been here ever since producing films for companies, interdisciplinary projects, theatre and individuals as well as cunningly hatching in-house filmic and TV projects. The playfulness of this city and its people has led me to my belief that there are many worlds and that we each have a journey. A Journey of delight, mouth-watering disaster, cups of tea and miss- directed directions. We are living in a retro-sexual haven of cosmopolitan kitsch and urban glamour. We are amazing people in a beautiful yet judging world, but there is room for everyone. I hope that through our films we can show you a 'Higher reality'.
